Human Origins 14

In our last discussion we spoke of the art of living in the spaces.  It is time we should re-visit that idea and expand upon it.

We have provided several installments of the Kybalion in order to provide some of the ground work for this idea.

For those who have spent any amount of time just observing humanity, it is very clear that we are much like other living things in some ways.  I think of fish, swimming in schools. Or of birds flying in flocks.  Or of cattle moving in herds.

We do the same thing and in some ways we are even more tuned to cluster and move in waves.  In our social interactions this is abundantly clear.  What is the meaning of “going viral.”  That says it all.  People do things, look certain ways, think certain thoughts, and believe in certain ideas often for no other reason than it is what everyone else is doing.

In fact, it is very predictable.  It is so predictable that if someone had the desire to sidestep the masses, so to speak, it is not that difficult.

But this applies to many aspects of life beyond just social interaction and social media.  If you would sit up on a bridge, an overpass over a major multilane highway in North America during the off-peak hours and just observe the flow.  Something amazing would show itself.  The vast majority of cars and trucks that you see will be travelling in groups.  Within those groups there will even sometimes be competition for position.

Seriously.  There will be vast spaces of highway with hardly anyone.  Those spaces normally will only fill up during the heaviest of traffic periods through the day, usually morning and afternoon.  Other than that it is waves, or clusters if you prefer.

The interesting thing is that most high-speed wrecks happen when travelling in those clusters.  One vehicle has a problem and everyone is too close to avoid them.  So it would seem reasonable to avoid those clusters.  But most people don’t.

The principle that we are observing here is the underlying basis for what we heard in the introduction to the Kybalion.

The critics don’t like the supposed “exclusivity” of the Hermetics, but I would argue that most of that is self-selection.  It takes focus, awareness and effort to live in those empty spaces as you find them.

You first have to see them, and then you have to pace yourself in whatever part of life you are applying the principle, in order to stay in those spaces.  The fact is, you are usually alone in the endeavor because most people do not want to do that.  They default to the crowd.

That’s fine with us.  We offer no criticism nor do we preach, we only have our own course and we simply claim the right to follow it.  And we expect the right to enjoy the benefit we find in that course.

But there is a bigger picture here as well.  The true origins of humanity are not widely known or accepted.  As we pointed out in the earlier sections of this discussion, there is an entire body of literature that is a conflation of parts of the truth, a partisanship to one part of that truth and then spiritualizing into a monotheism that carries forward to this day.  And it is given the stamp of sacred.

Jordan Peterson gave us a great psychological insight into how that monotheism arises out of the imperatives of evolution.  Mark Stavish pointed out the effect of that 2000 year old meme and the power that it has.

The origin of our species is rather prosaic by contrast, yet what the god Enlil feared came to pass.  We became self-aware and that changes everything.  He knew that was the transition from animal to the next level, and it was not their right to make that happen, despite being much superior creatures to us.

So here we are.  They have left us here essentially to our own devices, yet I am one of those who believe that there was an attempt to pass on some of the knowledge they possessed.  Not just knowledge of things and methods of manipulating the world around, but rather the higher knowledge.  Knowledge of the origins of the universe, the power that creates and sustains that universe and the purpose of those who have risen to the point that we have come to.  We are self-aware and searching for our destiny.

To my mind, that knowledge, that search for more knowledge, is contained in Hermeticism in its distilled form.  As the Kybalion points out, so much that is central to the various religions of the world relate back and are undergirded by the Hermetic philosophy.  In fact, for the most part, I don’t believe there are very many deal breakers, if you will, in the religions of the world, at least in their essence.

The practitioners occasionally take these religions off on tangents, it is true.  And, saddest of all, almost all religions at some point have been used as a cover for the activities of evil people who cared not for the religion they appropriated for their own purposes.

This is where people like Sam Harris get hung up, I think.

For the Hermetics, there is little point in debating with either the Sam Harris’s of the world or the committed religionist true believer.  Better to stand back and watch the debates and occasionally there are those who walk away in sadness and disgust and are seeking the truth of the human race in the universe, and if they are receptive it is occasionally possible to show them a path to Hermetic understanding.

That is quite rare I think.  I myself came to the understanding by reading and studying a cross section of teachers and students who have already begun the path, often in widely divergent fields of study and practice.  Eclectic, one might say.

Yet one day it all fits, it all makes perfect sense.  Despite the fact that you have become acutely aware of the fact you know very little, less than you thought when you began.

Now, it is true that the Hermetic teaching, the teaching of the Kybalion, has been proclaimed by some to be the basis of magic.  In order to understand that, we must have an idea of what magic really is.

This is a very convoluted and thorny topic.  There are some who like it that way, on both sides of the discussion.  The magicians like the mystery and the religionists don’t want people to get any ideas.  There are many who identify magic with evil so the connection to Hermeticism leads them to condemn the Hermetics as well.  Generally speaking this is based on ignorance.

So let’s get real for a few moments.  If we leave aside magic and religion for just a moment, let us just think about good and evil.  Let us first acknowledge that they both exist in our world, in this plane of being that we call human life.  There is good and there is evil.  There are people dominated by good and people dominated by evil.  That much is obvious to everyone.

And we could say that the good and the evil seem to be in the people themselves.  We can take any thing in the world and use it for good or evil.  Is this not true.

A garden tool can be used to grow food, or used as a blunt instrument to kill someone.  Good or evil.  Is that not true.

And it is the person who makes the difference, not the garden tool.  Likewise, with many, if not all of the things, objects, tools that we have around us and at our disposal every day, there is only good and evil in the person who uses those things, not the things themselves. Pretty simple, is it not.

There are two conclusions we can draw from this right from the start.

First, this principle applies to those things we thoroughly understand and to things we don’t understand nearly as well.

Second, the principle of personal agency of good and evil applies not only on this plane of existence but on higher planes as well.  This we conclude from the Hermetic principle of correspondence.

As above so below.

The less direct point, but important nevertheless, is the point that we do not push this good and evil paradigm downward to the animal kingdom or lower.

Here is why.  We can take the Biblical story quite literally in this regard, wherein the first human beings became like Gods, knowing good and evil.  This parallels the older history from the Annunaki wherein Enlil kicked out the Adamu from the Eedin for that precise reason.

This point is the demarcation line for the upward ascension of humanity, the human spirit, the human soul if you wish to call it that.  It is irreversible.

And it involves the recognition of good and evil.  It is consciousness, as best we can define it.

So now let us return to magic.  If we are to say what magic is, independent of the motivations of its practitioners, we could use the lesson above.  The good or evil is not in the magic, but in the intentions of the magician.

It may be, in the arts of the Hermetists, that the principles that govern the earth and above, are used to accomplish a specific end.  That is neither good nor evil in itself.  If the intent is evil, then the act is likewise evil.  The act of the Hermetist may appear as magic, but in and of itself, that implies neither good nor evil.

There is another type of magic wherein the magician uses, or attempts to use, the power of another entity above the human magician to accomplish the purpose of the act of the magician.

In this case we have the presence of another entity as well as the magician.  That entity, as we have seen, while more powerful than the human magician, could be a good entity or an evil entity.  That is true, as we have seen, through the principle of correspondence.

So in this case as well, we have the possibility of dual evil, the magician and the entity, or of dual good, the magician and the entity.  What is beyond the scope of today’s discussion is the possibility of the mismatch between the magician and the entity, one good, one evil.  We can go into that discussion another time.

Suffice to say, the conclusion here is that magic in and of itself is not evil or good, no more than religious practice is good or evil. Be that rituals, or calling upon the aid of a higher entity.

Of course, what is obvious here is that it is necessary to have some idea of who is who, not only on this plane of existence but on the higher planes as well.  That is, if we wish to call upon them to help us in any way.

There seems to be a certain naiveté among magicians of this latest generation, and a certain carelessness about what entities they involve themselves with.  Let us remember, as above so below, as below so above.  There are evil entities on higher planes just as there are evil people here.

And, for the Hermetist, there is plenty to study, learn and apply among the natural forces of the universe and human beings themselves, without trying to enhance any effect by borrowing power.

So to return to where we started in this discussion, the real essence of Hermeticism is learning the forces of the universe and the principles by which they operate.  The application of that knowledge is the choice of each student, each person.

To some it may appear that there is magic taking place, but most often it is simply someone living in the spaces, understanding the movement of forces and putting themselves in the right place at the right time.

It all takes practice.  When the rhythm of this kind of life is understood, there is a further step that can be taken.  That step is to understand the principles and patterns of human psychology and human consciousness, and apply that understanding to our life in the spaces as well.

However, that subject we shall save for another day.

Human Origins 13 Paradigms Part Two https://johannesmercurius.wordchronicles.com/human-origins-13-paradigms-part-two/ Thu, 27 Jul 2023 05:10:50 +0000 https://johannesmercurius.com/?p=181 Continue reading ]]>

In our previous installment we heard Jordan Peterson describe the process of how a monotheistic God is built from the consciousness of human beings.

We also heard from Mark Stavish describing what an egregore is.

The parallel is immediately obvious.

What Jordan Peterson was describing in detail was the construction of the ultimate egregore.  What Mark Stavish refers to as a collective consciousness.  That is the modern terminology.

Now, before anyone recoils in shock with that statement, let us stop.

Consider where we have been and where we have progressed in this discussion so far.

We have seen the truth that humanity has been on planet earth, as specifically human with the human genome, some 200-250,000 years.  We know this by looking at mitochondrial DNA.

We have discovered along the way that there is an ancient record that describes how our genome came to be on this planet.  An alien race known as the Annunaki, actually created our genome using hominoids that existed on this planet at the time, and infusing some of their own Annunaki DNA to create modern man.

There are a couple of iterations until the race we now are, the homo sapien sapien, actually came to be.  But essentially, as we have said previously, we are the first GMO on this planet.

All that we knew of gods was what we observed of the Annunaki.  As we have noted earlier as well, those observations may have been quite limited simply because of the life cycles of the Annunaki, who tended to live hundreds of thousands of years.

We, on the other hand, if you believe the early accounts in Genesis in the Scripture, lived at the outside, 900 to 1000 years, and on average today 80-90 years.  So, as we pointed out, it is quite possible, if the Annunaki chose to live reclusively or keep to a natural sleep cycle, there might be whole generations of mankind that lived and died without ever seeing one of the gods.

And we do know that the Annunaki chose as well to administer the world of men they had created by means of kings and kingdoms, thereby keeping a distance from humanity.

Is it any wonder that mythologies arose about the gods themselves.  Is it any wonder that mythologies arose about whose god was the strongest and whose god was the greatest.  But one thing was clear, everyone feared the gods.

If we move ahead to just after the great cataclysm that almost wiped us out, we see the re-instatement of kings and kingdoms on earth as the world of men was rebuilt.

Relatively speaking, it was not long after that before the Annunaki had all the gold they had come for and were leaving.  We have evidence that there were those among them that were quite concerned for our future.

I believe that one such was Nin-gish-zeeda, son of Enki, otherwise known in history as Hermes, who actively worked to create some sort of replacement theology, knowing that the world would change but our nature required some sort of God.

Jordan Peterson’s description is of an organic sort of process over a very long period of time.  While the seeds of it may have been germinating for some time, I believe that like many other aspects of our history, there was a deliberate push in that direction, toward monotheism.

What better god to focus around than the head of the earth mission itself, the god Enlil.  He was all that the Old Testament said he was, and yet to some extent that got mythologized as well.

By the time Christ was born, and I think Hermes himself had something to do with that, the description being clear in New Testament scripture that there was supernatural involvement; by the time Christ was born, the Annunaki had been gone for hundreds of years.

In human time that is quite awhile, time enough for the development of a newer paradigm of the highly spiritualized one God idea.

All those ideas that Jordan Peterson speaks of had been latent, and now, with the new paradigm, they came cascading in, to be constructed specifically into the early Christian Church and refined for several hundred more years.

So while Peterson is not specifically wrong, his timeline and conception of the process is not accurate, shall we say.

Now, let us step back once again and think about this.

2000 years of Christianity and Christian theology has heavily influenced the world, most specifically the west.  That is undeniable.  We may have disputes about theology, morality and moral consistency, yet in the big picture, there is no denying the influence.

If we were to say that this was an egregore of 2 millenial duration we would hardly be wrong.

And we must recognize how deep into the culture the egregore has embedded itself.

One example of this is the tendency for self accusation and self flagellation.  I had thought in the past that this was simply a legacy of the human race having been created to be slaves.  However, it is more than that, and more specific to the west.

In the Christian tradition there is the idea of original sin and the perpetual condition of mankind as being out of sync with God and in need of salvation.

The theology varies among Christians yet the self accusatory theme remains.  This is taken to heart right to the very level of the commoner, most specifically the commoner.  It was the kind of teaching that was used to keep the commoner in check in centuries past, in fact.

Suffice to say, there is a deep reflex within us to blame ourselves, to accuse ourselves.

Most recently we have seen this played out in the great climate debate.  Whenever an answer has been pursued as to the cause of any given climate phenomenon, whether cooling, heating, more rain, less rain, whatever the case is, the reflex has been, from the very start of the investigation, to blame humanity.  That is the first go-to answer.  Self accusation.

And like the Christian theology, there may well be a form of redemption but usually it involves elaborate repentance, and some sort of reparations, that is, transfer of money from one part of the world to another.  It has always been a grift, but it uses something that Christianity, the egregore, has deeply engrained in us as a reflex.

But there is another side to the egregore, which I think is common to some degree among all egregores, but which is prominent with the existence of Christianity.  That is to say, because it is a form of collective consciousness, it has power in and of itself.  It has power in the real world.

Without going into the subject in depth at this point, we do know that the subconscious mind of a human being has a certain amount of power and influence around it.  There is an entire study and art devoted to the attempt to control and direct one’s own subconscious, as well as the parallel study and art of attempting to control the subconscious of others.

We will revisit this subject later but in the meantime suffice to say, there is a comparable study of the influence of the subconscious of multiple people at once, directed in a specific direction and jacked with great force.  This we would call a collective unconscious or in this case an egregore.  All this to point out that whether we think the historical statements made by Christians are true, or whether we think the theology of the Christian faith is any where near accurate to the real world; it doesn’t matter to the great power of the egregore.  Christianity is powerful independent of whether it is true.

This bears thinking about.  If we were like most of the practitioners of the occult, our idea would be to apply the power of unseen forces to effect some change in the real world.  That is why many of the chaos magicians have no qualms about using rituals and symbols borrowed from Christianity to practice their magic, because they know there is a lot of power, centuries of the power of the subconscious of millions of people, all focused through the one lens of the Christian egregore.

That is power that should not be wasted, from their point of view.

From our point of view here, the same may be said in a different context.  We have not yet delved into the thoughts of the Hermetics, their point, purpose and methods, yet it is clear that practically speaking, whatever you wish to accomplish spiritually, the martial arts principle is the most practical course of action.  Where there is a powerful force at work in the world of the mind and consciousness, it is better to flow with it and use its momentum to multiply the power of the individual, than to try to buck against it, like a large rock in a river.

Eventually, over time, even the rock wears down.  We might gain some personal satisfaction from making a stand against something as monolithic as Christianity in the west, but in the end, the results don’t justify the effort.

And, to the extent that the egregore wanes, we adjust ourselves accordingly.  Perhaps in our lifetime the far-reaching influence of Christianity may wane sufficiently to reduce the power of the egregore, but as with the example we gave, of self accusation; that was in the secular realm primarily and yet it is clear that the Christian egregore still holds massive influence.

So where are we at this point.

Let us once more stop, reflect and perhaps summarize all of this.  Put simply, we know the truth of our origins and it’s not what we were told by this Christian egregore that most of us were raised with.

And in their effort to be the counterpoint to the Christian narrative, the scientists missed or ignored some important facts as well.

Yet in the end, from a strictly pragmatic viewpoint, unless and until the Annunaki return to earth at the next Nibiru fly-by, to attempt to force the truth on the world is pointless.  The truth has been entered into the record.  Our deepest thanks to Zacharia Sitchin for devoting much of his life to the massive body of work that gives us the history.

However, I think the conclusion we must draw is a Hermetic one.  In fact I think personally, that it was Hermes, otherwise known as Nin-gish-Zeeda who had the foresight to realize that we as human beings are unique in some ways.

We are aggressive and in a hurry, likely as a result of the shorter life span we were given.  And we have developed our own cosmology and theology in the absence of the Annunaki.  Our lifespan gives us a certain amnesia, a blessing and a curse.

But Hermes realized there would be those who would see the big picture and want to practice a life and philosophy of transcendence, knowing when to engage and when to disengage, understanding the human mind and soul, and understanding the art of life in the spaces.

All this and understanding the powers that exist and move in the world, the egregores that create momentum, and how to catch that momentum and use it to move forward in the way that we wish.

There is much more to be said but we will need another installment to chase down a couple more rabbits, before we move on.

For a quick illustration of  what we mean by life in the spaces, here’s an excerpt from First Knight.

More in the next installment.

Up to this point we have pulled several threads together and perhaps it might be useful from the western perspective to bring these ideas into a simplified form.

We have not yet shown the entire point and purpose of some of the ideas we have touched upon.

And we have not delved deeply into the weeds regarding the archeological and linguistic path of evidence for the claims made here.  There is a reason for that.

Zachariah Sitchin did a marvelous and comprehensive study of the direct written evidence of our complete thesis here in his Earth Chronicles series of books.  It is a massive work, and we have no need to reproduce it here.

And the only serious rebuttal offered is around the periphery; a bit of linguistic nit-picking regarding ancient Semitic language.  A dispute between experts that stands in the gargantuan shadow of the great revelation of our origins.  The linguistic period of dispute is long after the actual events that started and shaped the history of mankind.

Frankly it is feeble. It only stands because it concerns the language of the Jewish Torah, which has been adopted as the core of the Old Testament of the Christians.  This is where the objection finally centers in the west, and from Islam as well.  It is about faith.

But there is no shame in that.  In fact, despite the fact that the central premise of much of today’s faith in the west is faulty, and is based on historical conflation of facts and concepts;

yet still, the fact of faith, the practices of faith, are actually of paramount importance in the bringing of order out of chaos.  And in maintaining that order as chaos seeks to reassert dominance.  As Jordan Peterson has pointed out in the past, the desired balance of the two is illustrated in the well known Taoist symbol.

This is the great irony. But it begs explanation.

Jordan Peterson here gives a very compelling argument for the necessity of a monotheistic God.  To my mind, this is in large measure the reason we have monotheism in the west and why it has become so successful.  And this seems to function independent of the historical factual basis, as I believe it must.

In this part he gives a fascinating construction of how mankind gets to the essence of virtue itself.

This is a very biologically well grounded beginning for what we might later think is an eggregore.  An eggregore of the highest and most lasting kind, perhaps the essence of what an eggregore actually is. But more on that later.

That last comment is fascinating.  When the king of Israel thinks he is God, the real God comes along and wipes out the entire place and they have to start over.  Who might that be.  That sounds a lot like Enlil, and the way he tended to operate.  I, the lord your God am a jealous God.  Absolutely.

There have been a lot of people that have asked the question.  Why is the God of the Old Testament so severe and vengeful but the God of the New Testament is forgiving.

The answer is that the God of the Old Testament was the God Enlil, and the God of the New Testament is the version of God that Jordan Peterson is talking about, the creation of the abstraction, the God of the superlatives, the monotheistic ideal.  But here is more on that theme.

As a supplement to Jordan Peterson’s construction we may want to look at this from another perspective.  The esoteric world, the occult world, has understood the principle that the human mind is powerful, and combined with many other minds to a single purpose, or a single pattern or belief, or a complete structure of belief: this power can be immense.  We might say it is the classic strength in numbers.

In our time we have seen manifestations of this on a smaller scale yet in a way that we can recognize the power of the collective mind.  Cults are classic examples of this.  Yet there are other large forces that work because of the collective consciousness of many people.

Mark Stavish is one that has studied this phenomenon from the perspective of a student and practitioner of aspects of the occult.  His name for the phenomenon is eggregore.  He has written extensively about eggregores, in particular a book specifically on the subject.

Here are some excerpts from an interview with Barbara Delong that does a great job of explaining this.

We will pause here and take the time in another video installment to dig more deeply into this subject.

Perhaps you can see where we are going with this, but I think our conclusions might come as a surprise.

Human Origins 11 The All https://johannesmercurius.wordchronicles.com/human-origins-11-the-all/ Tue, 18 Jul 2023 21:39:47 +0000 https://johannesmercurius.com/?p=176 Continue reading ]]>

Here is a brief summary of the Hermetic idea of the All, as compared to the Christian Concept.

The concept of God as omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent has been a central pillar in various religious and philosophical traditions throughout history. Two distinct perspectives on this concept can be found in Christian theology and the teachings of the Kybalion, particularly in its notion of “The All.” This essay aims to explore and compare these perspectives, examining how the ideas of an all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-present deity manifest in these belief systems.

In Christian theology, God is portrayed as the Supreme Being, possessing three primary attributes: omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence.

Omnipotence: God is considered all-powerful, possessing infinite and unlimited power. The idea of an omnipotent God implies that He has the ability to create, shape, and control everything in the universe, both visible and invisible. This power is often associated with divine acts, such as the creation of the world and performing miracles.

Omniscience: God is believed to be all-knowing, possessing complete and perfect knowledge of everything past, present, and future. This concept suggests that God has a comprehensive understanding of the universe, including the thoughts, actions, and intentions of all beings. Omniscience also implies that God is aware of the consequences of all events and actions.

Omnipresence: God is thought to be present everywhere simultaneously, transcending physical boundaries. This idea signifies that God is not limited by time, space, or any material constraints. His presence is believed to extend to every corner of the universe, providing comfort and guidance to believers.

In Christian theology, the concept of God’s omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence is often supported by scriptural references, sacred texts, and the teachings of religious leaders. The belief in an all-powerful and all-knowing deity provides a sense of security, purpose, and moral guidance to millions of followers around the world.

The Kybalion, a hermetic text, presents a different perspective on the divine, encapsulated in its concept of “The All.” The Kybalion suggests that everything in existence, including the universe and its various manifestations, is a mental creation of “The All.”

1. The All: In the Kybalion, “The All” represents an incomprehensible and transcendent cosmic principle that transcends traditional notions of deity. It is an all-encompassing, omnipotent, and omniscient force that permeates all aspects of reality. Unlike a personalized God in traditional religions, “The All” is considered an impersonal cosmic mind.

2. The World Created in the Mind of The All: According to the Kybalion’s teachings, the world, and everything within it, is a mental creation of “The All.” This concept implies that the universe and all its phenomena are products of a cosmic thought process rather than a physical creation. In this view, the material world is a manifestation of the divine mind.

3. The All Manifests the World with Mind: The Kybalion suggests that the mental creation of the world by “The All” is accomplished through the cosmic power of the mind. The universe is the result of the thoughts and ideas of “The All,” and all existence is intricately interconnected through this cosmic consciousness.

The Kybalion’s idea of “The All” and the mental creation of the world offers a different perspective on the divine than that found in traditional monotheistic religions. It encourages individuals to explore the nature of reality, consciousness, and their connection to the cosmic mind.

Comparing Christian Theology and the Kybalion’s “The All”

While the Christian idea of God and the Kybalion’s concept of “The All” share some similarities in their attributes of omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence, they differ significantly in their fundamental nature and implications.

Personal vs. Impersonal: In Christianity, God is often depicted as a personal being with a will, consciousness, and emotions. Followers are encouraged to establish a personal relationship with God through prayer and devotion. In contrast, “The All” in the Kybalion is portrayed as an impersonal cosmic principle, lacking personal attributes and emotions. The emphasis is on understanding and aligning with the cosmic mind rather than building a personal relationship.

Creation and Intervention: Christianity posits that God is the creator of the universe and continues to be involved in the world’s affairs. Miracles and divine interventions are viewed as direct actions of God. The Kybalion, on the other hand, suggests that the universe is a mental creation of “The All” and operates according to immutable laws. While there may be room for personal growth and transformation, there is no explicit notion of divine intervention.

Purpose and Morality: Christianity often provides a clear sense of purpose and moral guidelines based on God’s teachings and commandments. In the Kybalion, individuals are encouraged to explore their own consciousness and understanding of reality, leading to self-discovery and the pursuit of higher truths.

Religious Structure: Christianity is a structured religion with a hierarchy, scriptures, and established practices. The Kybalion, as a hermetic text, is more esoteric in nature and doesn’t have a religious institution or organized following.

The concept of God as omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent has been a subject of philosophical and theological contemplation across cultures and centuries. While Christianity presents a personal God with attributes of omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence, the Kybalion’s “The All” introduces a different perspective—an impersonal cosmic principle that creates and manifests the world through the power of the cosmic mind.

Both perspectives offer valuable insights into the nature of divinity, human consciousness, and the interconnectedness of all existence. They provide frameworks for contemplating life’s mysteries and seeking meaning and purpose in a vast and ever-changing universe. Whether one finds solace in a personal relationship with God or seeks to explore the cosmic principles of the mind, these concepts continue to inspire wonder and awe in the hearts of seekers and thinkers alike.

With this summary in mind let us have a look at the Kybalion Chapter five for further understanding.

If the Universe exists at all, or seems to exist, it must proceed in some way from THE ALL–it must be a creation of THE ALL. But as something can never come from nothing, from what could THE ALL have created it. Some philosophers have answered this question by saying that THE ALL created the Universe from ITSELF–that is, from the being and substance of THE ALL. But this will not do, for THE ALL cannot be subtracted from, nor divided, as we have seen, and then again if this be so, would not each particle in the Universe be aware of its being THE ALL–THE ALL could not lose its knowledge of itself, nor actually BECOME an atom, or blind force, or lowly living thing. Some men, indeed, realizing that THE ALL is indeed ALL, and also recognizing that they, the men, existed, have jumped to the conclusion that they and THE ALL were identical, and they have filled the air with shouts of “I AM GOD,” to the amusement of the multitude and the sorrow of sages. The claim of the corpuscle that: “I am Man!” would be modest in comparison.

But, what indeed is the Universe, if it be not THE ALL, not yet created by THE ALL having separated itself into fragments? What else can it be– of what else can it be made? This is the great question. Let us examine it carefully. We find here that the “Principle of Correspondence” (see Lesson I.) comes to our aid here. The old Hermetic axiom, “As above so below,” may be pressed into service at this point. Let us endeavor to get a glimpse of the workings on higher planes by examining those on our own. The Principle of Correspondence must apply to this as well as to other problems.

Let us see! On his own plane of being, how does Man create? Well, first, he may create by making something out of outside materials. But this will not do, for there are no materials outside of THE ALL with which it may create. Well, then, secondly, Man pro-creates or reproduces his kind by the process of begetting, which is self-multiplication accomplished by transferring a portion of his substance to his offspring. But this will not do, because THE ALL cannot transfer or subtract a portion of itself, nor can it reproduce or multiply itself–in the first place there would be a taking away, and in the second case a multiplication or addition to THE ALL, both thoughts being an absurdity. Is there no third way in which MAN creates? Yes, there is–he CREATES MENTALLY! And in so doing he uses no outside materials, nor does he reproduce himself, and yet his Spirit pervades the Mental Creation.

Following the Principle of Correspondence, we are justified in considering that THE ALL creates the Universe MENTALLY, in a manner akin to the process whereby Man creates Mental Images. And, here is where the report of Reason tallies precisely with the report of the Illumined, as shown by their teachings and writings. Such are the teachings of the Wise Men. Such was the Teaching of Hermes.

THE ALL can create in no other way except mentally, without either using material (and there is none to use), or else reproducing itself (which is also impossible). There is no escape from this conclusion of the Reason, which, as we have said, agrees with the highest teachings of the Illumined. Just as you, student, may create a Universe of your own in your mentality, so does THE ALL create Universes in its own Mentality. But your Universe is the mental creation of a Finite Mind, whereas that of THE ALL is the creation of an Infinite. The two are similar in kind, but infinitely different in degree. We shall examine more closely into the process of creation and manifestation as we proceed. But this is the point to fix in your minds at this stage: THE UNIVERSE, AND ALL IT CONTAINS, IS A MENTAL CREATION OF THE ALL. Verily indeed, ALL IS MIND!

To summarize all of this, there is no way that the God of the Christians can be what they claim.  To create the world, the universe, it must be a part of God, otherwise God is not all that there is.  The superlatives do not function.

We know the principle of individuation within ourselves.  Whatever is individuated is less than the whole, or the ALL.  It is that simple.

The All is so real that everything that the Mind of the All manifests is completely tangible, is completely real, including ourselves and the corporeal world we live in.

As has been said over and over.  Mind comes first.  All is mind.

Human Origins Part Ten

Some time ago we made note of the fact that there is a discrepancy between the actual facts of human origins, and the truncated tale in the Bible.

But we also made note that the monotheism that has arisen from Israel, and then taken on board wholly by the Christians, is not totally in error either.

Here is what we mean.

Looking first at the facts, we as human beings were created in a lab by creatures much greater than us.

When we became self aware during this process, we acknowledged the greatness of the creatures that created us, and we called them gods.

A perfectly natural and understandable thing to do.  They were our creator, lord and master.  They were what they were, and humanity did not know the difference between a good God and a bad God.

It was later in retrospect that we were able to recognize the idea of goodness, and to what extent the gods that we knew measured up to the standard.

But beyond that, we were able to think about good and evil, and again beyond that, we were able to construct the idea of ultimate good and ultimate evil.

Several years ago, Jordan Peterson, in his lectures on the Bible, began by discussing the nature of humanity and God, and in particular, the problem of human consciousness.  To him, all of our ideas of God are rooted in our consciousness.  This includes the move from polytheism to monotheism.

In a sense, although I think Jordan Peterson would deny it, he was saying that God is a creation of the human mind.

I would suggest that this is backwards.  He has the right substrate but the order is reversed.  We are the creation of a mind.  Many of us have heard the expression, “all is mind.”  It is true.

But here is Jordan Peterson to elaborate on the importance of consciousness.

So we will agree with Jordan Peterson that consciousness is very important.  We will call it mind.

That is fascinating.  Our D N A came from space.  It is ironic that it is really true, yet Doctor Peterson only mentions it in passing.

In fact, if we go back to the mingling of the waters when Tiamat was first hit by Nibiru and its moons, we find the source of the D N A on planet earth, the planet that is the remnant of Tiamat.  That source was Nibiru.

But of course, that just pushes back the origins of D N A, the origins of the substrate of consciousness that Peterson talks about.  It doesn’t explain it.  How did life get on board the planet Nibiru.

These specific, scientific, material questions about the origins of D N A, we cannot answer in that way.

What we can do is give the greater context, the source of all life, all matter, all being.  It will then make sense in the context of Peterson’s discussion.

In a way, this was the context in which Enlil objected to the creation of humanity, the Adamu.  Creating life was not specifically the problem.  The problem was creating consciousness.  This is why Peterson’s discussion is so pertinent and so relevant.

There is something there that even the Annunaki did not fully understand, but they did acknowledge that creating the creature that would be the home for consciousness was the prerogative of God, the God that even the Annunaki recognized was above them.

And so this is the God that we are really seeking to know.  The Gods, the Annunaki, are a red herring in all of this, and their involvement in our creation must be separated out from the creation of the universe.

That God, is the one we wish to understand.  Jordan Peterson is adept at showing how our minds are capable of creating those superlative concepts that we touched on in another video;

Omnipotence

Omnipresence

Omniscience

Yet when confused with the agents of our birth and peculiar D N A on this planet, we lose sight of the goal, I think.

That is my issue with the following discussion of the image and likeness of God.

Actually, the image and likeness of the gods, to be precise.

Indeed.  Not cosmically trivial at all.

But I think we can understand this.

It is not really all that mysterious, if we start from the right point.

Let us take that statement that we have heard here and there over the years.

All is mind.  Let’s say it again.  All is mind.

We have been inclined to ignore it or dismiss it, because it doesn’t fit the paradigm that Peterson is struggling with.

The concept is simple.  We have been laboring under the idea that Peterson espouses here.

He is grappling with the unlikelihood of the idea, yet states explicitly that it took millions of years for us to develop the mind that we have.

Here he is arguing back and forth between the Christian idea and the evolutionary idea, not realizing both ideas begin with the same premise.

That premise is this.  Mind arises out of the material world.  At best it is infused into the existing material world.  This is a variation that is found within the Christian tradition.

But either way the premise is backward.

The premise instead, should be the following.

The material world and all that is in it arises from mind.

Mind comes first.  That is the reason for the saying, all is mind.

We will look at the details and explanations of this point of view in another installment.

Suffice to say, at this point we will just give the minimum timeline.

The God that we are seeking, the God of the superlatives; that God does indeed exist.

Indirectly, we were created by that God because everything that exists was and is created by that God.

Indeed, we can call that God the ALL.

The reason we can call God the ALL, is because everything that exists is within the ALL.

In fact, going one step further, everything exists within the mind of the ALL.

We will not go any further in this post except to use a contemporary example.

Most of us have heard people talking about something that they desire.  Some thing, some money, some relationship;  a myriad of possible things that they want or wish for;

And lately we have heard much talk about a way of getting those things that the heart desires by a method called “manifesting.”

We might want to say that God “manifested” the entire universe and all that is in it.  The analogy is not exact but is food for thought until next time.

We have covered a wide patch of ground in very little detail so far yet we have not answered the most important question.

What is the point of all of this whole discussion.

While there is still a massive amount of history to consider, it does not really help us to answer the question.

So let us take this time to make an attempt to put this entire narrative into perspective.

For some people it matters very little how and why the human race came to be.  Their lives are busy enough just doing the basics for survival.

That is quite normal.

However, we are approaching a time when the number of people who actually have the leisure to think about human origins and the meaning of what they find, is going to increase rapidly.

The world, whether we realize it or not, is approaching a time when the vast majority of people will have enough to eat, and time to rest from their labors.

I realize that is the kind of statement that goes against most of the gloom merchants and doom sayers.  For most of history they and their antecedents have dominated the conversation with dire predictions.

But contrary to what we may habitually think, the numbers show us that we are making headway around the world in terms of food production and distribution.  We know that the current population of the world is actually more than sustainable when we are able to eliminate the inefficiencies that are usually a creation of people against other people.

That is the optimistic news, what of the pessimistic.

On the other side is the constant threat by certain players in the world who wish to dominate the world and mold it in their own image.

Throughout much of history this has been the case, most often represented by strong individual leaders with huge ambition.

But in our time, like some other times in history, the empire that seeks world domination need not have one continuous leader.  A series of like-minded leaders can accomplish the same conquest of the world.

In the recent past we have seen much of the world consumed by war, in what we have appropriately called World Wars.  Our war making technology has advanced now to the point where we could easily set the entire world back several hundred years.

That time when the entire world finally has enough to eat would be set back as well.

The other potential danger to the world’s population is a cataclysm such as was seen in the past.

When we consider that just 12,500 years ago there was an asteroid hit and then another about 1000 years after that, it is obvious that such events are un-predictable.

As Graham Hancock puts it, the earth passes through an asteroid belt twice a year, which is much like crossing an eight lane highway blindfold.

The World,

On fire.

And after that,

the flood,

So huge the fires were forgotten.

Total impact,

The very next thing to a planet killer.

And so,

Will our luck run out.

There are those who can make the calculations.

Indeed, we should be paying attention.

Yet, we have heard that many, if not all, of the chunks of debris,

Come at the earth from the general direction of the sun.

That clearly makes them hard to detect from earth.

It means that we have little or no warning.

But here is where this all gets interesting.

We know from the history of the Annunaki that they knew about the event of 12,500 years ago,

Before it happened.

Even the conflated account of Noah in the Hebrew Scripture points out that God knew ahead of time about what was going to happen.

That account even retroactively gives God, in this case Enlil, credit for having caused the massive event.

The fact that they knew ahead of time that the comet impacts were coming, is amazing enough.

That implies a very intricate knowledge of the solar system itself.

It implies regular observation from beyond the surface of the earth, and the ability to calculate the trajectories required to know what would collide with the earth and when.

Some have suggested that Nibiru was coming through the solar system at this time as well.

Its gravitational influence may have had some effect on the comet fragments Hancock speaks about.

It would also further complicate the calculations.

The Annunaki watched the carnage from orbit as the comet fragments hit.

Some of them severely regretted the decision to keep their fore knowledge from the human beings.

Enlil had made them promise to keep the future calamity a secret from mankind.  He wanted to see the end of humanity.  As the Scripture rightly points out, he regretted that he had made them.

However, in Enlil’s case, he actually only approved, the making of human beings.  It was Enki that did the making, with the help of Ninmah and Nin gish zeeda.

But now, as they watched, not only were the human beings washed away, but so too was the god lifestyle they had become accustomed to.

Create an intelligent being but lesser than yourself, and force it into servitude and call yourself god.  That’s a life that anyone could get used to.

Now they would have to fend for themselves once more.

Just like it was, when they arrived.

Enlil was happy that humanity was gone until they brought the ship down near Ararat, the highest peak near to their former home.

He smelled the scent of cooking flesh and he remembered how life had been.  He went to investigate and found Ziusudra, otherwise known as Noah, burning an offering.  He was hungry for meat and at the same time angry that Enki had warned Ziusudra, as he had given his word not to do.

Enki mollified him and so, as we pointed out in other episodes, Enlil had a change of heart and later began to cultivate his own people.

In the Scripture, he even went as far as to say that the world would never again be destroyed by flood.

The Annunaki have no record of that promise specifically, and even had it been made, the likely substance of the promise would have been something to the effect of saving humanity.  The suggestion that Enlil had created the flood was an idea that came later.

There was much lamentation on the part of Ninmah and Inanna, who had come to love the human beings.  Ninmah had been an integral part of the creation of humanity from the start.  They made assertions that they would not let this happen again.

Now that brings us to a very interesting question.   Broadly, as we have asked before, what are their intentions.

Are they going to land here again when Nibiru comes back around.  That is likely almost 1000 years off, if my sense of the timeline is correct.

If the danger from the comet debris is as great as Graham Hancock believes, the Annunaki would certainly know about it.

In that case would they leave someone behind in proximity to earth in order to keep a watch on the earth.

Or is there someone left behind on the earth.

What happens if they do get an advance warning, do they deflect the object.  That is a technique that we ourselves have been thinking about.

It would be a lot easier to deflect the object than to warn all of humanity.  And what good would that do in any case.

We have no capability at this time to evacuate the earth itself.

So if we are to believe what they have said, they have intentions to protect us.  How will that manifest, we wonder.

Mars was a place the Annunaki once used as a stop over station for the gold shipments.  I suspect that the Comet that sent pieces of itself to crash into the northern ice cap of earth, was also the cause of the great damage to Mars.

Mars appears to have had a cataclysmic collision of some kind that robbed it of its atmosphere some time ago.  When the Annunaki were there, it was by all accounts much more habitable.

However, if some of the Annunaki are biding time until Nibiru returns, orbiting Mars might be a place they would do that.

All in all, I am of the belief that after the debacle of the great flood, the Annunaki have felt some sort of obligation to us.  It seems they cannot live among us without becoming gods and tyrants once more.

And so I believe they have worked out some way, or are still working on a way to guide, direct and protect us, at least in some measure.

More on that in the next installment.

In our last discussion we mentioned the dichotomy that arose in our human consciousness.  That dichotomy is the good and evil paradigm that is, for all practical purposes, the norm within western cultures.

It comes from the Christian era, and from the precursor to Christianity.  In the scriptures of the history and faith of the people of Israel, the concept of one God first, and then the further concept of good and evil are firmly embedded.  An examination of those concepts yields the understanding that good is contained in obedience to the Lord, whereas evil is contained in dis-obedience to the Lord.

We also mentioned earlier that we have had the tendency to use superlatives when referring to God.  This is the same with respect to good and evil.  We see them as having absolute poles, even while recognizing that there may be degrees between them.

There are segments of Christianity, we may call them sects, that believe there is an absolute line between good and evil.  If you are to cross over that line you would go from good to evil as a person.

And, the real consequence of this state of being on the evil side is condemnation.  This condemnation can be immediate and applied by the sect, but the greater condemnation is carried out by God after that person dies.

This theme in various forms is present throughout every form of Christianity from the original Catholic ecclesial communities right on through to the present.  While there is much disagreement on what constitutes evil and where the line is drawn, and most particularly, what can and should be done about it on the part of the individual, the idea is universal that those who are on the evil side of the balance sheet at the time of their death, will face punishment and retribution for that evil in the next life.

There are two major issues that arise here.

The first arises from our knowledge of the Gods and our origins.  The second arises from experience that has been documented right up until the present.

Here’s what we know of the history.  Our ancestors were slave workers to the Gods who created us for that purpose.  When the Gods, the Annunaki, had been here for some time they had organized the part of the earth they inhabited into regions, and established a system of governance, a system of kings in a hierarchy.

Over all of these Gods and kingdoms was the God named Enlil.  As the heir to the throne on the planet Nibiru, the home of the Annunaki, he was the leader of the mission to earth.

Second in command was Enlil’s half-brother, the first born of the two, whose name was Enki.  Enki was not only older but more accomplished in science, particularly biological science.  But he also excelled in astronomy and engineering.  That was why he was the leader of the first mission to arrive and establish the operation here on earth.  He was the one who came up with the idea of creating human beings, the adamu.

As is common between brothers there was friction and argument.  And, much like the stories of the Old Testament scriptures relate, brothers sometimes argue and fight, jealous of each other because of their unique skills or jealous because of the favor that one or the other might receive from the father.

The story is ancient in human history, which is no surprise, because we were created with the D N A of the Annunaki.  In fact the very second tale of significance in the Book of Genesis is the story of the jealousy of Cain against his brother Abel, who found favor with the Lord, their Lord.  Cain eventually killed Abel.

We can track what really was an ongoing feud between the brothers Enki and Enlil, from long before the creation of human beings.

It was Enlil who was in charge of the gold mining operations in the Abzu, the continent which is now Africa.  It was Enlil who faced the mutiny of the Annunaki that toiled in those mines.  When Enki proposed the creation of the human species, quite predictably, it was Enlil who at first vigorously opposed the idea of creating humanity.

And here was the response that we find intriguing and a mystery.  It was Enlil who stated that it was forbidden to create life.  Forbidden when.  Forbidden by whom.  All fascinating questions to which we do not have specific answers.

But back to the Annunaki brothers.

Their contention continued throughout that long history right up until the great cataclysm that nearly wiped the human race from the earth.  But Enki intervened even when he had given his promise to Enlil, to allow the human race to perish.

By this time the contention between Enlil and Enki had become a clan war.  When Enlil realized that human beings were still around and the earth must be repopulated because their gold mining operation was not complete, he relented in his wish for the extermination of mankind and proceeded to go in the other direction.

This is when we find the intervention of Enlil directly in the affairs of men.

He had previously remained aloof as the other Gods had lordship over their people and involved those people in the wars between the Gods.  They even re-established kingship once more, when the population of human beings had recovered enough, and there were those who were cross bred between human and God who lived a long time and became the intermediary between Gods and men.

One of Enki’s sons, Marduk, became the great thorn in the side of Enlil, trying to usurp his leadership over planet earth, and it was during this period that Enlil took an active hand in humanity, and in fact chose a people for himself.

It was he who called Abraham to leave his family in Ur and go to Palestine.  The one we have grown up with in the west as God, the God, the one God, the only God;  that was Enlil.

From there we see the Abrahamic history recorded in Scripture as well as historical documents, but what we notice is the monotheistic shift over time.

And what is most interesting is that brother Enki became the symbol of evil, simply at first because he was the opponent of Enlil.

It was later that this became more universalized as the God Enlil became simply God, the most powerful of the Gods but now morphed into something other than the Annunaki God Enlil.  And those superlatives that we spoke of earlier began to appear until the real story was forgotten.  History became legend and legend became myth.

This is perhaps the greatest source of contention with respect to Christianity.  In essence, this understanding of the origins of humanity and the rise of the religious beliefs and practice, of the Jews and then the Christians, is in direct opposition.

Enlil is not perfect, nor omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient, and his brother Enki is not absolute evil.  And so our ancestors have made an error by passing on this paradigm as God and the Devil.

Certainly, from the Christian point of view, this does rock the boat.

I spoke of another major issue with the good and evil paradigm as we have been taught in the west, and wherever else Christianity has been taught.

That issue arises from something which is perhaps beyond the scope of this series of videos.  That issue arises from the massive numbers of consistent and parallel stories that have been coming in and documented for years, concerning the near death phenomena.

This is a subject that creates visceral reactions in some people, scorn in others and absolute denial in still others.  All this without any scientific and rational explanation of the phenomena that passes the basic smell test and takes into account the striking similarities between accounts.

This phenomena has one serious effect when you read or listen to the accounts of those who have had the experience.  It tends to blow apart the good and evil paradigm, at least as far as the consequences in the afterlife.

While our focus has been the true origins of the human race, the combination of these two factors provides us with a more accurate account of where we have derived our theology in the present day, and it provides a hopeful alternative to the dire scenarios presented to us routinely in religious teaching.

However, when we speak of the superlatives of human philosophy and religion, we must not dismiss all of it outright without having a look, at least, at the psychological explanations that Jordan Peterson has put forward.  We may find that what we think about God aside from any consideration of Enlil, is rooted much more deeply in necessity and the nature of our consciousness.

More on that in another posting.

Human Origins Part 7 – Monotheism

This would be a good time once more to stop, and reflect on the scope of what we have learned.

One of the most difficult parts of this entire narrative is its prosaic nature.

The implications are huge, but the history is anything but heroic or sublime.

Part of the world that we were raised with in the west is the tendency to create the superlatives and the absolutes, the highest and the best, and the lowest or the worst.

If we were to ask those who have studied the building of narratives in human culture, such as Doctor Jordan Peterson, the response would be that this tendency is quite normal, and an intrinsic part of a developing self-awareness, the self-consciousness that separates us as human beings from all other biological based sentient beings on earth.

This may be so, but what it has done, in our opinion, is distort the actual truth of history itself.  Now, we may want to say that such a distortion is harmless, in and of itself.

However, when it becomes embedded into consciousness on a very wide scale, and further narratives are predicated and built upon it, sooner or later there is a challenge.  And sooner or later there is a battle.

Our nature being what it is, these battles often extend beyond the halls of academia and into the streets.  The embedded memes, as we call them today, are powerful enough to lead to war within nations and with other nations.

In short, people have died throughout history for the distortions of that history.  That is why it is risky in one sense to bring it back to the front today.  But it is necessary if we are to do what so many say that they want the human race to do.  And that is to move on and up to a higher and better form of civilization.

And yet, there is also a very good reason that we as human beings need a narrative structure.  It is at the very essence of our consciousness to establish a form and put being into it.  It is the act of creation itself.

We remember what the Scripture in Genesis told us of the origins of the world we live in.  It was without form, and void.  It required form to be anything other than chaos, and later we see that echoed in the New Testament Gospel of John where he says that in the beginning was the Word.

What is being taught is that the form is the word and the word is form.  This is the way that creation happens.  Again, as Jordan Peterson points out, word and thought and idea are the same.  That is why the Scripture talks of the world being spoken into existence.

This is an excellent commentary on how we as human beings understand the world.  In computer terminology, this is the operating system of the human consciousness.  It is the reason why the idealists were anxious to explain the world chronologically from form, the ideal, to the manifestation of that form.

But we know that nothing that is not created by human beings actually follows the ideal in the instance.  We are capable of making things that are uniform.

But the reality there is that with a high enough resolution examination, our uniform creations are not identical at all.

This is the tension that exists in the world and the human mind between chaos and order, that the Taoists have taught for a very long time.  It parallels the human experience of emotion and reason.

And the truth is that neither is of any use without the other.

Here we have dipped our toes into a very large pool.  There is a further wealth of understanding just in the attempt to explain our own consciousness.  The explanation for that consciousness is what is known as the big problem.

The short answer is that we are beings with the consciousness of our creators, the Annunaki.  That doesn’t explain consciousness itself, but it moves the philosophical problem into another sphere where it might be more manageable.

There is an interesting parallel here when we consult the ancient accounts and compare that with the Bible.  In its conflation of the tales that the descendants of Abraham carried out of that ancient Sumerian civilization, the Bible in Genesis tells us that God, the one God, punished Adam and Eve for the attainment of that self-knowledge, that self-consciousness.

However, the truth is that Enki, the mastermind behind the human race, the Adamu, was the one that caused us to have that consciousness through the infusion of Annunaki D N A, and it was his brother Enlil, that expelled Adam and Eve from the garden when he realized what had happened.

This essentially had transformed Adamu from animal to a being equal in self-awareness to the Annunaki.

You shall be like the Gods, knowing good and evil.

It would seem that Enlil was fine with using the human race as mine slaves and gardening slaves in Eden, as long as they were animals, like horses or oxen.

However, when they became self-aware beings his conscience would not allow him to have those beings near him.  He planned their destruction from that point on.  His word to Enki was that they should never have created human beings in the first place.  Perhaps that is true.  The history of planet earth was forever changed.  That is certain.

And we can recognize in ourselves the way that we hate and wish to destroy those we have wronged.

And in this instance, in this narrative, we see one of those errors that we spoke of earlier.

Here, the narrative was conflated from the Gods to the one God, and in doing so, this one God had to be all wise and all good and offended at the “sin” of the human race.

And, the God that had done the actual genetic modification was henceforth known as the Devil, the serpent.

The polarity and enmity between the brothers was transmuted into the eventual polarity of good and evil, which we have with us to this very day.

This good versus evil paradigm has become universal in the western world, regardless of the many variations in the religious or philosophical structure that surrounds it.  It is a cultural meme that goes so deep it cannot even be questioned.

And, as one example of how such a meme can be turned to destruction and a caricature of the paradigm that underlies it, we see the west for the most recent half century using military force and economic force, to compel nations and cultures to bend the knee, to an ethic and social order that is deemed to be “good’ and superior.

And we see those who religiously support this policy seem quite oblivious to the evil being done, by their own standard of evil, in the name of the good they profess.

But that is a side issue to the bigger question.  We all know the hypocrisy of our time, as much as we can see that hypocrisy manifest in history as well.  But from this we can draw a conclusion.

The good and evil paradigm, and the attendant narrative of Christianity, regardless of its flavor, seems to be inadequate to the task it has set before it.  Clearly it does not claim to turn the entire world to the good, but rather to be the salvation of some souls from the power of evil, the pathway for the elect.

But it seems even those elect will not act consistently for the good and will visit evil upon those it deems unworthy or non-compliant.

So what then is the purpose and point.

Once again we must pause.  Reflect on this, and perhaps ask the question, how did this monotheism come about to begin with.

And, the further question, why is there an amalgamation, a fusion of the concept of the creator of the universe and the concept of the creators of mankind.

The first has not been addressed in all the accounts that we have that were passed down from and about the Annunaki.  We know that when Enki first proposed the creation of Adamu, one of the objections raised was that it was forbidden to create life.

Who did the forbidding.  Was this a prohibition that came as a result of foresight as technology advanced, or was this a result of past negative experience.

We have an account from the Annunaki of the forming of our solar system and the events that occurred when Nibiru first came through and encountered the earth.  But as to the origins of the universe itself, to date there is no real explanation.

We are of the opinion that the transition from the Annunaki Gods and the subsequent pantheon mythologies, to monotheism, was not organic but was done with a purpose.

This, of course, was not universal across the world.  Nevertheless, where it occurred it appears deliberate.  The rise of monotheism seems to coincide, or at least runs parallel to the timeline of the departure of the Annunaki.

That departure in and of itself raises some interesting questions about Annunaki intentions regarding humanity.  There is some indication, but what amount of responsibility do they feel obliged to carry for the future of mankind.

What do they know or suspect about the future of planet earth itself.

Let us ponder some of these questions until we return.

Human Origins Part Six – Gods And Eternity https://johannesmercurius.wordchronicles.com/human-origins-part-six-gods-and-eternity/ Fri, 10 Mar 2023 06:50:00 +0000 https://johannesmercurius.com/?p=149 Continue reading ]]>

Perhaps at this point it might be useful to make some clarifications.

When we speak of the race of beings known as the Annunaki we have to understand a little of their characteristics, beginning with their life-span.

When we speak of God today, particularly in the west, we have a conception of a being that is eternal.

In fact, the Christian faith teaching goes to the superlative in all areas.

God is eternal, omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent.  Eternal means no beginning nor end.

Omnipotent is all powerful.

Omniscient is knowing everything at all times.

And Omnipresent is being everywhere at all times.

By contrast, the Annunaki were never eternal.

However, they did live a very long time, at least by comparison to our human life span.

To get an idea, their cycle around the sun, their year, is 3600 of our years.  That cycle is known as a shar.

The outer limits of their longevity are not precisely known, but we do know that some of them had lived at least 120 shars by the time they had left earth.

That would equate to 432,000 years.  Some of them were here from the beginning which was in the range of 400,000 to 450,000 of our earth years.

Incidentally, one of the things about earth that the Annunaki found disconcerting at first, was the rapidity of the change of daylight to darkness, like they were spinning on a top,

And the change of seasons according to the path of earth around the sun was very rapid for them as well.

How long they had lived before they arrived here we do not know.  But we can safely say they live likely half a million of our years.

So, for all practical purposes, when compared to our 100 years of life, roughly speaking, the Annunaki might as well be eternal.

And, when human beings first became self aware, and aware of the Annunaki, of course they called them Gods.

After all, they had created us.  How could we as human beings know anything, other than the fact that we died, and the Annunaki continued on.  That is a practical definition of eternal.

The addition of the other superlatives was quite practical as well.  A God that had the power of creating life, even though it was eventually established that it was the remaking of an existing being, still might well be thought of as omnipotent.

And the Annunaki had other abilities as well, that defied the senses of the first human beings, like being able to fly around.

That later expression we find in the Bible, “the fear of the Lord,” was quite justifiable even in reference to the Annunaki.

Omniscience is a small step to take in referring to the Annunaki Gods, because, once again, they had created human beings and had many magical and wonderful abilities.  That they would have infinite knowledge would not be a stretch at all.

It was later that the human race began to see just how much the Gods were just like human beings.  That, of course, is not surprising when we consider we have their D N A.  Although we are not eternal or powerful, or wise like the Gods, we eventually got caught up in the drama between them.  Their fights with other Gods, their jealousies and their wars.

And we can see just how accurate that statement is from the book of Genesis.  We were made in the image and likeness of the Gods.  Right up to the 21st century we are still at war with each other, and for the same reasons.

This is how the pantheons of the Egyptians, Greeks and Romans came about.  Today we are sometimes even amused at the way the Gods are portrayed in the legends and mythologies because we have a higher view of God, a more rational, purified view of God. The one God.

But what those people were mythologizing was, in fact, the Annunaki Gods as they really were.

There is one other thing that we must consider when we think about the difference in longevity and life cycle of the Annunaki.

We do not have specific knowledge of the length of one day on the planet Nibiru.  That is to say, we don’t even know how that planet behaves and how the cycles of life are established.

However, we do know, as we have already pointed out, the quick rotation of the earth and the day to night cycle here was difficult for the Annunaki to adjust to, in the beginning of their stay here.  That would infer a much longer wake and sleep cycle on their own planet.

We do have the record of one of the major complaints that the God Enlil had against the human race was that he was unable to get rest.  Too much racket from the human beings.

It does seem to me that the sleep cycle of the Annunaki Gods may well have been such that human beings dedicated to the service of one or other of the Gods, may not physically see or hear from their God for long periods of time, while the God slept.

It is something to consider.  Therefore the absentee God would not be unusual at all.  And as we track history to the present day, the full spiritualizing of God, particularly in monotheism, would coincide well with the experience of the past, when the Annunaki Gods were not physically accessible to the people for long periods.

One of the most important issues we will eventually delve into is this very change in the view of the Gods that morphed eventually into monotheism.  It is a fascinating subject, and I think it has once more to do with the Annunaki, and one of them in particular.

We will flesh this out later but I am of the mind that Hermes, which I believe we can trace back to actually being Ningishzida, the wise one, son of Enki.  That is my own personal view of the track, and I think he was a direct influence, as Hermes, on the transition to monotheism, for reasons we may not suspect at first.

However, I will attempt to pull those threads together at a later point.

There is one other question that springs naturally to mind.

Where are the Annunaki now.

Why do we not see them.

The short answer is that they got all the gold they needed to fix their atmosphere and they bailed out.

When they first arrived here, that was their primary mission.

The problem of humanity, their slave race, was a secondary problem they had created.

In fact, the human race and what to do about us, was one of the main sources of contention among the Annunaki.  Right from the beginning of our existence, the battles between the two famous brothers, Enlil and Enki, were centered around the wisdom of creating us as a race, and then, how intelligent and like the Annunaki we would be.

After the great cataclysm, when Enlil had hoped to solve the problem by letting us be obliterated, it was discovered that Enki had ensured our survival.

From then it was decided to go all in with their creation, and the real battles began.  But at the same time Ningishzida went to what is now South America, and discovered that the cataclysm had laid open the earth, and vast tracts of gold were right out in the open, ready for the taking.

That simplified the rest of the mission for gold, and shortened the time span considerably.

The time that passed from the end of the cataclysm some 11,500 years ago was just under three shars of their cycle.

It is sometimes thought that the original event of 12,500 years ago was in part caused by, or at least catalyzed by, a particularly close passing of Nibiru.

In other schools of thought, the timing of the Nibiru passing was closer to the second temperature spike event of 11,500 years ago, between which is that cold period we call the younger Dryas.

Whichever is true, 3 shars takes approximately 10,800 years.

Other factors and historical references lead me to believe that the passing of Nibiru was at that earlier time of 12,500 years ago, and that would mean that the most recent passing was just around the time of the birth of Christ.

That would quite possibly explain that bright star that was seen at the time, because Nibiru is a luminous planet and it comes right into our solar system.

We know that the Annunaki left in that period of time and it is most likely they would do so when Nibiru was close by.

That means, if and when they decide to return to this planet, it most likely will not happen for another roughly 1500 years.

What will be left of us is another question.  For them it will have been one shar.  For us it will have been 3 and a half millennium.

Those are some of the big picture questions on the very basic level.

But they raise a multitude of other questions which we will look at in further posts.
